New single & a new mini-album by mclusky

i sure am getting sick of this bowling alley is exactly the kind of title you’d expect from a band that once claimed all DJs should be French, and honestly, mclusky returning in 2026 to save us from the doldrums of “polite” indie is the only thing making sense right now. This new mini-album, featuring a mix of four brand-new tracks and two “not-so-new” ones, proves that while the world has spent the last two decades getting softer, Falco and company have stayed reliably jagged. The lead single, i know computer, is two minutes and nineteen seconds of frantic, post-punk brilliance that sounds like a panic attack in a server room—in a good way, obviously.

It’s genuinely heartwarming to see a band “be a band again” without the usual bloated, self-serious reunion energy; instead, they’ve delivered a collection of tracks with titles like “as a dad” and “that was my brain on elves,” which suggests they haven’t lost their knack for surrealist snark. If you’re into the Bristol scene or just need music that sounds like a beautiful, controlled bridge collapse, this EP is a mandatory pre-order. You can grab the digital version on March 20th, but the real prize is the hot and sexy Limited Translucent Red Vinyl dropping May 1st—perfect for looking cool on your shelf while you pretend you aren’t actually sick of the metaphorical bowling alley of modern existence.

Be sure to pre-order the record and follow at the links below.
Also, if you can get yourself a ticket, since they are once again not coming to Milwaukee to play a show, be sure to catch them live at The Metro in Chicago on April, 4, 2026 w/ Pile – Click here for tickets.
