Hunt perfectly captures the band’s claustrophobic energy, allowing Kevin’s dual-threat guitar and vocal venom, Mike’s slicing guitar leads, Sam’s thunderous percussion, and Chris’s driving bass to hit with maximum, skull-rattling impact.

Further into the record, “Thought Police” highlights the band’s sharp, politically charged punk attitude, delivering a rhythmic beatdown that is tailor-made for the mosh pit. Then there is the killer track “Burdens” which opens with one of the best instrumental lead-ins that then just explodes into an absolute avalanche of raw metal force. Also, after talks with Sam, it appears that they kept the recording of this track on its first take, which blows me away. So fucking good.
