It’s May…. and it’s still cold outside for some reason. At least things are heating up at all of our music venues and bars once again!! I filled up my car with a half-tank of gas on Monday cause I was not sure if this gas is gonna get any cheaper any time soon, and it cost me $60 (or at least I shut it off once it got to that amount!? UGH…. so, with that and the impending doom of the orange Donald dunce going on daily… we put together a great podcast for you all to hopefully give ya a little giggle or even have you dancing/ boppin around a bit to the cool tunes while the world is on fire. Hang in there…. We love you all!!
On this show, we are playing some of the best music from bands from right here in Milwaukee and throughout the world, and also letting you know about all those shows coming to Milwaukee over the next month that you need to get out to. DJ John B also decided to take it upon himself to let you know of some new events coming up you may not have known about to help you celebrate this month or so, and not to be outdone… someone sent him a link to some hilarious 900 phone thing vids from the 90’s on YouTube, and it sparked something interesting in his weed and beer-filled head. We also had quite a few shots, so be sure to have a few with us if you wish. Thank you all for calling in with your requests for either DJ John B, or Tabman, or even your requests for us to duet a song ‘KARAOKE’ style!! So many cool requests. Remember, each request that is not picked out of our trusty hat will roll over to the next show, so you still have a chance at one of us singing the song you requested for either Tabman, DJ John B., or a duet for both of us to sing on future shows. Just call our OKR hotline at (414) 909-2272 and leave us a message with what song you want sung, and we will pick one random request for the next show.
Also, be sure to check out karaoke with Joey Turbo every Wednesday at 9pm at The Mothership! I’m sure you can sing better than both Tabman and me, and it’s so much fun after a couple of those amazing cocktails they have over there.
Lastly, if your band has some new music that you want all of us here in Milwaukee to take a listen to, get in contact with us on Instagram or at OKRCHICAGO@GMAIL.COM if you want to get your music on the show!
Also, if you have a request that you think we should play on the show, or just want to leave us a message saying hello, give us a call at our OKR Hotline at: (414) 909-2272 and leave us a message!!
Now….. on with the show!!

Last but not least…. as picked from the hat of songs called in from all you listeners… DJ John B does his version of the 90s hit Hunger Strike by Temple of the Dog. Thanks for calling that one in, Harper. After 6 or 7 shots and a handful of brews…. DJ John B was mostly able to read the lyrics and kinda sing.
Cheers and beers,
DJ John B. & Tabman.
